Studio Rentals

We have two shared studio spaces available.

New Edinburgh Community & Arts Centre studio members pay rent based on the square footage of their studio space. All Studios are in a secure building with 24-hour access. Rent includes all utilities, wireless internet and a public access computer. All studio spaces are juried. In addition to studio space, the NECTAR Centre offers a kitchen with light appliances, large fridge, bathroom and utility sink. There is also a common area that studio renters are welcome to use as an additional workspace, as long as it is clean and free of materials by the time they leave for the day. Studios are accessible 24 hours per day. Please note that individual studios are only accessible by a normal sized doorway. The NECTAR Centre is a non-toxic environment so any spraying must be done outside.

If you are interested in renting studio space at New Edinburgh House please submit an application.  All applications must include the following:

Description of Studio Practice: (200 words max) clearly indicating how much time you will likely spend in the studio, what sort of media/equipment you plan to use, why studio space is important to your practice, if you have any current projects/exhibition deadlines you are trying to meet, and any other details relevant to your studio practice.

Curriculum Vitae (2 pages max)
Artist’s Statement (300 words max)

Support Material: Max of 4 portfolio images or up to 5 minutes of video footage, if appropriate. Digital images must be in JPEG format. To be considered for a studio space, please forward your application to [email protected]. All digital information submitted must be Windows-compatible.  Applications for shared studios are welcomed.
