Suitable for those who have a good knowledge of Bridge.  Topics include:  Counting winners and losers, finesses, developing extra tricks, and reducing losers.

Ukulele for the Almost Beginner – Mon Sep 16 – Nov 25 (10wks)   7:00-8:00 pm

If you are an adult beginner who knows a few chords and strumming patterns on the ukulele, this is the course for you!  For 10 week, you will be learning to strum and finger pick your way through classic songs, from Bob Dylan to The Beatles and more!

Acrylic & Oil Painting – Thurs Sep 19 – Dec 5 (12wks)   1:00-3:30 pm

A relaxed painting environment for those who wish to develop their artistic skills at their own pace.  Open to all levels of painters, instruction is individual although if a group wishes, skills and techniques can be addressed as a class exercise.

Figure Drawing & Painting Workshop – Wed March 6 – May 1 (8wks) / May 8 – June 26 (8wks) 9:30 am – 12:30 pm

This is an extended pose workshop.  there is no instructor.  Participants work in the medium of their choice.  The workshop is offered in eight-week blocks.

60-plus and going strong: Wellness 101- Tues. Oct 8 – Nov 26 (8wks)  10:00AM – 12:00PM

A FREE certificate course designed to promote long-term health, wellness, and fall prevention in your home. The goal is to prolong your independence at home. Each week, you’ll learn from health care experts about a different aspect of healthy aging in a relaxed, social setting.Topics include: Flexibility, mobility and fall prevention, Medication use and management , Nutrition needs and management, Brain health, Navigating the health care system, Hearing health, Powers of Attorney and elder abuse prevention, Self-Health Management: Action Plan Essentials. Free Lunch provided by the New Edinburgh Retirement Residence.
