Facility Rentals
Nectar provides much-needed community space, with flexible hours, for a variety of group rooms and program space for all of our community partners in Education, Recreation, History, Environment, Arts and Health. Our facilities are also available for private functions such as holiday staff or family parties, birthday and anniversary celebrations, etc.

What is available?
Our location at 255 MacKay Street has an attractive room — the Community Room: a lovely, light-filled space on the ground floor that houses the New Edinburgh Community Gallery.
If a smaller meeting space is required, we can offer a bright upstairs studio for groups of up to six people.
When?
Our reception hours for bookings are as follows:
Tuesdays and Thursday from 1 - 6 pm. Bookings may run beyond reception hours. Bookings after hours and Saturdays, Sundays are subject to additional fees. Contact us for more information.How?
It’s best to get in touch with us at nectarcentregm@gmail.com and let us know who you are and how you are hoping to use the space. From there, room bookings are very easy!

Room booking fees vary and you can find the standard room rental rate on the chart below.

Events that require an additional staff member may be subject to an additional staffing charge. The above rates do not include other charges that may be required (kitchen use, cleaning, etc.).

Additional Charges
Open/Close Fee
*Single events booked outside office hours are subjected to an open/close administration fee of $30.00 over and above the hourly rate.
*Please note that if you wish to rent a room to run a fee-for-service program (i.e. Yoga, Pilates, Workshops), a proposal must be submitted for approval by the Manager. Nectar provided yoga equipment is no longer available.
*Non-profit rates are available with proof of registry.
General Rental Policies
Any member of the community can rent a room based on its availability. Please note: If any event is deemed to be in conflict with the goals and objectives of the Organization, the Organization reserves right to cancel any rental without notice. Nectar is a shared community asset and the use of the centre must reflect this fact. Users of the centre must comply with all applicable City by-laws and Federal and Provincial legislation, including the Ontario Human Rights Code which prohibits discriminatory conduct.
